I have something to say, it's not going to be easy, but bear with me... I... I... I WISH I WAS ITALIAN!
Whew, there we go, off my chest!
If you are into the world of the bloggerati, then you know that 90% of all fashion bloggers want to be French, I too share that desire (though I am no fashion blogger the desire to eat begets and drink wine on the lawn at Champ de Mars is overwhelming) however, recently I have taken a shying to the Italian way; give me espresso and send me adrift (guided by a gondolier of course).
Their crazy families, boisterous beautiful language, their passion and spark, not to mention their dreamy looks! OY! The Italians have it all. I mean Giovanna Battaglia is the embodiment of the perfect woman is she not!?...Then again the Parisians do have Emmanuelle Alt on their side... and Garance Dore...Perhaps then, if I am being fully honest, I would like to be split down the middle half and half. French disheveled chic, Italian classic and clean.
The tragedy, I'm afraid, is at the end of the day I am still a little Euro-highbred living in Los Angeles, reading fashion magazines and dreaming of the day when I will get to play the ever cliched American tourist in my imaginary 'motherland' (no my highbred is neither French nor Italian, and I am no tourist!Tourism is for suckers). I know that day will eventually come, and when it does my bags will be packed in black and white, and I will stroll through St. Peter's Square listening to the bubbling speech around me, falling even more in love with the Italian way of life.
...THATS IT! I am moving to Italy.
