Every morning for the last month or two I have been making “juice” to start the day. I use the word juice loosely because, to be honest, I throw a bunch of fruit and veggies into my Vitamix and puree them to a pulp. I like to say this is even better than actual juicing because you get all of the fiber and goodness that helps fill you up and nourish your body.
I was obsessively making green goodness, over and over again, mostly because I feel like copious amounts of kale and spinach are good for you and any excuse to consume them seems like a great idea. However, the other day I concocted a highbred juice that is packed with greens, vitamin c, and super fruit power, aka heaven in a cup.
What you will need:
1 hand full of Kale (roughly 1 cup)
1 hand full of Spinach (roughly 1 cup)
2 medium wedges of Pineapple
4-5 slices of Mango
1/4 cup Pomegranate Seeds
The juice from 2-3 Oranges
4 Ice cubes
1/2 cup of Water
Place all ingredients into your blender or Vitamix. For best results pour water in first, add in spinach and kale, then the remainder of the ingredients to weigh the blending process down. Blend until smooth and enjoy!
This juice has become one of my favorite go-to’s for a meal replacer or a little mid-day energy.
