I stand at the top of the hill, large oak trees stretch their branches, a canopy over head, shading all who have gathered from the heat of the slow setting sun. Music fills the air and I know it’s time.
I close my eyes and see the endless summers of my childhood, so vivid, yet so distant. I open them and see my entire life unfurling, vast and full of possibility standing before me…
This year has been a blur of joyous gatherings, new adventures, fabric and flowers. I look back and think of all the things that led us to this point and smile. It all started so many Summers ago. I see all of the memories, a film softly playing in my mind, nudging me closer with each passing scene.
The sky’s are clear, the air inviting, everyone we love and hold dear is here to celebrate with us, to share in this moment.
I fell in love with Summer so long ago, and now it will tenderly hold the story of our love forever.
