Dear ladies and gentlemen of the world,
I can't help but feeling that I owe you all an apology. I am sorry for not remaining culturally current and up to date on certain branches of the media. I realize this is not my job... you have Skimm for the that (click here, you won't be sorry) but also I am floored by the fact that I have yet to let you know about The Newsroom (to be fair, I only just started watching it myself).
This show combines intelligent, political drama, humor, and a little office romance in the BEST way possible. Jeff Daniels is my new hero and Emily Mortimer is a dream (also Olivia Munn is a unintentionally hilarious, bright and wonderful costar). The chemistry of the cast is flawless from episode one. You know immediately who to like, who to love, who to hate, and who to cheer on.
As with all great shows attached to the legendary HBO, The Newsroom knows how to pull you in and keep you asking for more. You are engaged and invested from the moment you hear the first broadcast end.
Yes, I am late to the game. The series first aired in 2012, however, you know what they always say- better late than never.
In closing I would just ask you to find it in your hearts to forgive me for not opening your eyes to this magnificence sooner. Now go- find a friend with an HBOGO and prepare to fall in love with Will McAvoy, MacKenzie McHale, Jim Harper, Maggie, Don, Neal, Sloan, and Charlie...
I'm Kelsey Zahn Melton, signing off for The Curated Life. Good night (... my name is so not news worthy... but you can't fault a girl for trying).
