Have you ever had an epic conversation? You know, the ones where your train of thought runs so in line with someone else's train of thought that eventually the tracks cross and you can no longer tell which train your riding!? You leave that moment a changed person, swearing you will remember that conversation forever.
Fast forward five hours...
You could not pay me to remember one such conversation I had this very morning! I am now sitting here, racking my brain, struggling, begging my neocortex to function through the late afternoon brain fog which seems to be clouding my thoughts (seriously, it is like cheesy horror movie thick in there).
I want to tell you about that conversation...but I simply can't remember what it was. Do you ever have that happen?
Stories become awkward, moments fall short, all because your mental train got stuck at the station (brain delay). How does one recover? Do you bluff and try to cover your tracks? Change subjects hoping no one will notice?
The reality is no one noticed.
Forgive me for my faltering mind. I promise I will come back with some cheeky banter or deep, soul searching ramblings soon enough. Until then my friends.
