TO BIRK OR NOT TO BIRK

That IS the question.

Fashion week has begun, which means I will be living on style.com for the next several weeks. All this trendy energy of new collections spun off old ideas has me (per usual) questioning where my sense of style is headed (usually a variation on the teeshirt and jeans... I'm very complex). It also has me questioning the purchases that I want to make for my spring/summer wardrobe.

My current wish list is comprised of, you guessed it, really bangin basics. One may call me norm core but I like to think of myself as more of a 'timeless' kinda girl. That being said, I have a question for you... how do you feel about the Birkenstock?  Are they still a thing? Do we know? Do we care? (I care, that is why I am asking).

I recently purchased the Sam Edelman pony hair (don't judge, it is an unhealthy obsession in my life) cross strap sandals in black... but then I was like... maybe I should return them and get the white Birks? Or maybe the black Birks? And then my whole world turned upside down... KIDDING... kind of.

I have it on good authority, form the CUTEST gay wardrobe stylist I have ever met (seriously, I want him to be my best friend... don't remember his name though which is just tragic...WAIT, no I just remembered his name was Drew which I thought was ironic bc my Drew hates shopping. ANYWAYS) that the Sam Edelmans I purchased are a)still in style b) FABULOUS c)to die for and Birkenstocks aren't going anywhere. So I think I'm good, I just don't know which to (keep) get.

What do you think? Are mom sandals sticking around for a little while longer? Are Birks REALLY worth all the hype? Or are my Sam Edelmans just as good?

Happy Fashion week everyone!

xx
